A production platform that develops impact-driven projects and enhances access in the cultural and creative industries

Kültürakt was founded in 2020, inspired by the heritage of Çokran Plak—a tradition born in the music industry in 1962—and built upon a synthesis of academic knowledge in arts and culture management and 25 years of professional experience. Kültürakt is an impact-oriented production platform dedicated to supporting the development and transformation of the cultural and creative industries, with a core goal of enhancing accessibility. It transforms creative ideas into projects, develops original concepts, and forges collaborations with highly motivated stakeholders. By implementing joint projects with public institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations, Kültürakt develops sustainable, participatory, and transformative models in the field of arts and culture.

Our Areas of Focus

Idea and Concept Development

Leveraging a multidisciplinary approach and collaborative partnerships, we develop concepts and curate content programs for the creative and cultural industries.

Accessibility

We work to strengthen the accessibility of public spaces and events, ensuring they are open to vulnerable and underserved populations.

Project planning

We architect the development process for creative concepts with professional tools and methods, bringing them to an implementation-ready stage.

Networking

We connect with the key actors of the cultural ecosystem—including highly motivated individuals, civil society organizations, local governments, and private initiatives—to form networks and architect collective production models.

Event Management

We provide end-to-end management for all processes, from concept development and planning to final evaluation and reporting.

Capacity Building

We design capacity-building programs focused on the specific needs and benefits of artists and cultural professionals.

Our projects

Sesimiz Ol Platformu (Be Our Voice Platform)

Sesimiz Ol Slogan

The "Be Our Voice Platform" is a cultural and artistic solidarity project established in October 2023 to provide a space for visibility and solidarity for independent artists. Coordinated by Kültürakt, the platform aims to help artists connect with the arts and culture ecosystem, sustain their creative production, and facilitate their access to support mechanisms. With 191 registered artists, the "Be Our Voice Platform" opens up a rights-based space for artists through activities focused on visibility, networking, and capacity building.

Kültürakt Accessibility Community

With the Kültürakt Access Community, which we established in October 2022, we set out to make the accessibility issues in Bursa's arts and culture scene visible and to develop solutions. We successfully completed the incubation process for this community within the scope of the European Union's Sivil Düşün "Worlds" program. During this period, we implemented the "And the Senses Become Apparent" project. We continue to plan our activities with accessibility at our core focus.

And the Senses Become Manifest

"So, What's Next?"

To be featured within the art programs of local governments and to create shared spaces for young artists, we designed an exhibition project titled "And Then What?". Developed under the curatorial advisement of curator and art writer Dr. Derya Yücel, the exhibition consists of works by artists from the "Be Our Voice Platform."

The inaugural exhibition took place on February 6, 2025, at the Şefik Bursalı Art Gallery in partnership with the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. Work is ongoing to realize future editions of the exhibition.

Bursa Arts and Culture in Education Forum

We came together to rethink the role of arts and culture in education, to highlight common problem areas, and to develop solution-oriented collaborations. In this first meeting, which saw wide participation ranging from local government representatives to civil society actors, and from artists to educators, important insights were gained regarding shared needs and potential areas for cooperation.

The forum is conducted in partnership with Kültürakt, Nilüfer Municipality Social Entrepreneurship Center, Yekpare Social Enterprise Union, and KODA – Village Schools Change Network.

Ahead of the main forum, which will take place in July 2025, we are continuing to shape the process together with the participants.

Be Our Voice City Ambassador Program

Sesimiz_ol_design_elements-03.png

The "Be Our Voice City Representative Program" was implemented in 10 cities to strengthen the capacity of independent artists and support them in developing sustainable projects within their local arts and culture ecosystems.

Within the scope of the program, 10 representatives selected from the cities of Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Şırnak, Eskişehir, Ankara, İzmir, and Mersin are supported through online and in-person workshops in the fields of project management, curatorial practices, fundraising, and communication.

The aim of the program is to increase intercultural collaborations between cities through these representatives, encourage the transition to creative economies, and strengthen the sustainability of artistic production at the local level.
